Well, without the constraints of being on broadcast radio, we decided to put together a little program called "Spooky Southcoast: Off the Air," in which we give you all a glimpse at the "real Spooky Crew," what we're like when we're not in the studio.
We're pretty sure you'll think we're a bunch of jerks.
Seriously, we decided to get some burgers, some beers, and a couple of microphones, and free-form a show in true podcast fashion. The result? Two-plus hours of hilarity, humility, and camaraderie, at least in our own opinions. We also discussed how "Spooky Southcoast" came about, and our initial encounters with the paranormal that led to our life-long interest in all things unexplainable.
Will everyone enjoy it? Probably not. But even if nobody listens, we're glad we got a chance to do it. It was, at the very least, a great bonding experience that will make the show stronger. Are we changing the way we do the regular "Spooky" shows? Hell, no. We'll be back to business next week, and again, even though that show will be podcast-only, it should be more like a regular show. We'll be back on WBSM live on September 2, with quite possibly one of our biggest guests...but more on that in a few weeks.
I must warn everyone that before they listen, the show contains ADULT CONTENT and ADULT LANGUAGE. That's right, we swear...because in our everyday lives, we don't have "radio filters," and we'll drop the bombs amongst ourselves. And we may talk about some things not usually on our show--such as bodily functions (including a few examples). You'll also hear a clip from one of our new favorite bands, Silence Your Cellphones.
Essentially, we apologize if we offend anyone, but we just wanted to show you what we're like "Off The Air." So with that in mind, we welcome you to Tim's backyard...
